I'm Raphy Mendoza. I'm an artist who gives form to the invisible.

Everything we experience in the world has an energetic signature.

The barking of a dog

The shade of sky blue in Spring

The memory triggered by the smell of banana bread

The rage and wrath we suppress beneath the surface

The conviction that a dead loved one came to visit

I create intuitive paintings that capture the energy of these human experiences, reminding us that we are both spirit and matter. This is a unique quality which - when we are aware of it - gives us the key to personal power and freedom.

It gives us the ability to perceive, play, and create in the spaces between the empirical world and the world that can only be felt and sensed. It gives us the ability to create our reality.

I make these paintings to remind myself, and others, of that power.

To remind ourselves of who we really are.
